My friend Tashina recently decided to start making her blog writing a priority.(Thanks for inspiring me to do the same) When I logged on I saw that It has been FOREVER since I have posted! I also saw that in the "about me" section, Jaydon was 2 and Kaylani was just born. Saying I am due for an update would be an understatement. This is such a great way to keep everyone posted on our lives and something amazing to look back on. I no longer have an excuse now that my "baby" can feed herself,play by herself, and use the bathroom herself.:)

I know I said I would be better about updating my blog....but I lost the cord to transfer my pictures! Thanks to Aunt Cammie,I got my kid's birthday pictures! Jaydon turned 3 and Kaylani 1!! We had a joint party since they are only three days apart. I do not have the energy to plan two back to back parties. Especially when there are so many birthdays from July-November. They got a ton of great gifts! Nice plates and bowls,toys,a princess chair,great clothes,even their Halloween costumes! Jaydon will be Nemo this year and Kaylani will be Minnie Mouse. I made cupcakes so Kaylani could have her very on. Half the cupcakes had three M&Ms on them and the other half,one. Simple is what we like:) Thanks to eveyone who helped out! Especially with the pictures Aunt Cammie! What would my poor kids do without you?!

Our baby girl turned ONE today! All day today I kept looking back to what this day was like one year ago. Could I handle two kids? Would the labor be as awful as it was with Jaydon? What would she look like? At 4:57pm it was all over and I got to find out. I thought she looked like her big brother. Who knew she would end up looking just like her daddy! Those Barker's have some strong genes! And beautiful ones:) It was fun to think about that exciting day. On one hand,I can't believe a year has gone by. On the OTHER hand.... I can't believe ONLY a year has gone by! We are planning a party for both her and Jaydon. So no cake pictures today:) Two Birthdays down,one more to go!
Oh.... and the other exciting thing. We went to the BSU Game last night:)GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it is August and I haven't post anything! I am awful! Too much has happened over the last three months to have an individual post for each. So I will just sum it up into one! It has been a very busy summer! Trev had summer school all summer! Ugh. Good news though,this is his last year! One more semester of school! It should be an interesting year though. He won't be able to work much so things will be tight. Good thing I am obsessed with coupons.:) Jaydon is getting screened here in just a few weeks! I have a little bit of a feeling he is behind with his speech. I would rather be safe and figure it out now. I will keep you updated on that. If he is behind,he will attend a class at Garfield Elementary school. If he isn't, I have a Preschool in mind for him to go to a few days a week. Kaylani has been walking for a few weeks or so now! I can't believe my youngest walks! She has been saying,"uh-oh" and using it correctly so, I think we may have a first word to write down! She has four teeth and by the way she has been acting latley, more are on the way! We went to The Oregon Coast in June. Jaydon loved the beach this year! In July we celebrated a few Birthdays. Aunt Cammie,Grandpa Barker,and mine! We had one big get together. It was a lot of fun. I got some knives,cutting boards,pedicures,bowls. I got spoiled. I have been watching a lot of cooking shows and felt the need to upgrade. Jaydon and I made a trip to Salt Lake also in July. My cousin Daniel and Cousin Aubrey,on the Shimer side, got married. We stayed with my wonderful friend Mandi and her family. Though I did not get to visit much with family it was nice seeing them and their little ones. We have made a trip to the cabin. Always fun. The boys love the four wheelers and water. Trev is getting ready to start school in just over a week. Boo. So I do not have to have such long posts, I think I will stop being lazy and keep my blog updated! Especially since we have lots of exciting things just around the corner! We recently got family pictures done. Kims sister Emily took them for us. She did such an amazing job! I will post a few. I am sure lots of other things have happened. I will get on with posting the pictures though. They are much more exciting.

Shoshone Falls

On Sunday we decided to have a family day AWAY from the house. Caleb and Kim recently went to the Shoshone Falls and said it was great! We decided to check it out ourselves. I packed a picnic dinner during naps that day and loaded up the car. We stopped by the fish hatchery beofore we went. Jaydon loved to put his hands in the water and try to touch, "the Nemo!" We got to the Falls around 6:30 which was perfect! Wasn't too hot and there weren't many people. The water was REALLY rushing! It was amazing to see something so beautiful that is just a few hours away. Sure beats an evening of tv! After admiring the scenery for a bit,we ate dinner and just hung out for an hour or so. Seems a little far of a drive,but I always enjoy the family car time we have. Well...when kids are not screaming and sippie cups aren't getting chucked across the car:)

I just realized I don't have many pictures of Kaylani. Since she is eight months old tomorrow,I figured I might want to get on that! Our camera didn't work for the longest time so I don't have many. I could probably just post some pictures of Trev on here and that would work:) Except the girl version of Trev is much cuter:)

Well,the potty training games:) That is right. We have started potty training! I know,I know,needed to be done a long time ago. I just didn't see the point in starting it if he was not ready. Today he asked to go potty,so I figured now is as good of time as any. He loves to sit on his potty and read. We sat there for five minutes and NOTHING! I think mommy needs to bring a book next time around. He loves his new big boy underwear! He has been showing them off all evening. I can already tell this will be a fun process. Any tips? I'm up for hearing them! Wish us luck. I am guessing we will need it.

I haven't kept up on my blog.Really,nothing has been going on. Atleast nothing to talk about!Trev is still super busy with work,work,school,and everything that goes along with it. The kids and I have been patiently waiting for the weather to get a little nicer so we can find something to do BESIDES go to Walmart! Kaylani started crawling about 6 weeks ago.(man,I really need to make more time to update!)Jaydon has been sick the last couple days.Poor guy.He always seems to be sick. He has been doing much better with his speech,counting,and colors! It has been fun working with him and seeing all the progress he has been making!Me? It is Trev,Jaydon,and Kaylani's world,I just live in it. So whatever is going on with them,that's what is going on with me! You know what would make this post much better? Pictues. Which I don't have!I will work on it!

Easter

I have to say. This Easter was one of the BEST! We started the day by meeting the rest of the Barkers at chuch. I enjoyed it so much that I may continue going to that church every Sunday! After, I got the kids fed and down for their naps so I could help out in the kitchen. We had an awesome breakfast/lunch/dinner! The kids slept through that part so we got some volleyball in! I am a little rusty. It was a blast though!When the kids woke up we had a small egg hunt. I was worried Jaydon wouldn't get it or care to participate but he loved it!! Trenton,Gavin and Jaydon all got fishing polls from Grandpa and Grandma Barker. They were so excited they played out in the yard with them. Which may or may not have been the best plan. The boys got their lines targled a few times! As I watched Grandpa try and teach the kids how to fish, I caught him acting as the fish! It was too funny. Had to be there. I bet the boys will enjoy going to the cabin this summer with those fishing poles! We all got a ton of candy. Kaylani,being too little for candy, got some super cute socks that look like little shoes from Aunty Karen. I can't explain how nice of a time I had this year! Guess thats what you can expect when you hang out with such a great family! Hope everyone had a great Easter!!

I went to the store today and got....
-Five packs of scott's toilet paper for .30
-Five boxes of post cereal for $4.58 PLUS after I purchased it five dollar catilina printed. (Albertson's money)
-Three 16oz bottles of kraft dressing for .50

Now I've never been good at math but I know thats a ton of savings!!!!!!!!!
I technically got paid to shop!!
Trev says I am obsessed with this new blog that lets me know about all these savings. uh... DUH! My picture of all my groceries wouldn't load on the computer. I will try later. Trev stayed home on Wednesday while I was out. Which is something that he doesn't get to do often. As you read on I think you will see why.
Trev is playing with the kids when he hears the garbage truck coming. He realizes he forgot to take the trash cans to the street.(go figure) So he quickly runs out to do so. When he gets back to the door he can't open it! I am in a good habbit,or so I thought,of locking the door when I close it. Apparently Jaydon has picked up on that becuase he locked the door behind him! I watch a ton of court tv so I make sure the windows are locked with wooden poles behind them. Trev knowing this immediatley is in a panic. Saying,"Jaydon open the door for daddy." Jaydon,thinking he did something wrong, goes and sits on the couch and cries! Trev went to all the windows in the house all locked! Finally decides to try our bedroom window and yay! It was unlocked! Which I am still trying to figure out why,but still thankful that it was! I know, I know, could have been bad! But come one, cant you just picture Trev locked out of the house in his pj's? because of a two year old! I thought I would share this with you. It made me laugh once he got in. Only to Trev. I'm sure you will all be thinking it through before you ask us to babysit:)

Great Savings

So,I have been introuduced to the world of coupons. I have to tell you, I was a little hesitant. At times it seems too good to be true. I have figured out though with a little planning and organizing, saving tons of money is easy! Click on, krazy coupon lady, off my list of friends. She walks you through all the great deals she finds and lets you in on great deals all day long. You have to check it often, she posts new things all the time and sometimes there are a limited number. I tried out the trip to Albertson's post and I saved tons of money. I made two trips, paid $7.00 and got about $40.00 worth of food! Today she has posted how to get a free sub coupon sent to your email. It took me twenty seconds to fill out. No catches. You only have to use it within five days! I had one sent to Trevors email and mine. Now we have dinner one night! I t I thought I would pass it on to everyone!

One year ago

On Febuary 17th, one year ago, Trev proposed! I really didn't think that a year later we would remember the day that it happened! To be honest,we did have to put a little thought into it! We decided to try a new restaurant. Tucanos has come to town. We have heard good things so we decided to try it out! It was fun! Caleb and Kim Joined us for a night out. I am glad they did. We were there for so long it was nice to have the extra company. They have salad bar type of deal,which has quite the selection. They bring out all types of yummy meats, veggies, and brown sugar glazed pineapple, which Kim loved! I liked that we got to go out and experience something a little different. Mostly, I can't believe that a year has flown by! Makes me realize how fast time does go by, and that I need to treasure each day. I think the only thing that has changed is we have a little, maybe a lotmore fat on us:) One year down, many more to go. Thanks for a great year Trev, and all the things you do for us! We love you!

As you can probably tell, my computer is being a big peice of junk. It is having too many problems to list. So my punctuation, and grammer is a bit worse than it normally is:) It is leaving out words, mixing them up, not saving everything I type, not posting pictures the way it should. I thought I would just let everyone know. It's not at all pleasant to read and try and figure out what it is that I am trying to say! It is chaotic and not organized at all! SORRY! VALENTINE'S DAY

I have never really been into valentine's day. It is easy to get away from showing that you appreciate the one you love so, I guess it is nice to have a day that you can take the time to make sure that that special someone knows how you feel. This year was our first valentine's as a married couple. I decided I didn't want to go out. Too busy. Too expensive. Plus, I wanted the kids to be with us. I just made dinner and we had a relaxing night. I made stuffed crab, parmesean pork, veggie, potatoes and stawberry shortcake for dessert. I rented Fireproof. It ended up being a good movie. Trevor has been asking for a coffee mug. So, earlier in the week the kids and I set out to make him one. So now daddy has a coffee mug with the all of our pictues on it to take to school and class. Jaydon picked him out a candy bar and a nice card. Aunty Karen joined us for dinner. She does so much for us I thought it would be nice to give something back. I got to use ALL four of my nice dishes so that was a plus:) Jaydon enjoyed helping me decorate and set the table. Three wine glasses and a juice box completed our dinner table. Hope everyone had a nice valentine's day!

SHOW TIME

Trevor and I try to spend one on one time with the kids. Last week, Trev took Jaydon to dinner. They enjoyed small talk over happy meals. Kaylani and I enjoy getting the boys out of the house thats for sure! For an hours time, we have peace and quiet! This week I decided to take Jaydon to see a movie. I was worried he would'nt be able to sit still for that long. I was suprised! My friend Mandi and her daughter Kenli joined us. They pigged out on popcorn and enjoyed watching a movie on the big screen. We had a fantasic time. I try to get the kids out of the house when possible. On Tuesdays, Mcdonalds has half priced happy meals. The movie was at the cheap theater so it never breaks the bank and we still get out for some fun! Trev took some picutes of us before the big show! If you want to go watch a show, yell SHOW!!!!

Our computer has been running extrmely slow, freezing in the middle of whatever I am doing, and not posting my pictures! Sounds similar to a few months back when our computer had a virus on it. THE CABIN

This last weekend we headed up to the cabin. First stop was to see the ice sculputres. Sadly, some were already begining to melt. The ones that were still holding strong were amazing! We walked around for a bit, ate dinner with the rest of the Barkers, and watched the fireworks. Saturday night Kaylani and I got sick. So we stayed indoors on Sunday. While I sat inside feeling sorry for myself, everyone else went out sleeding! Sad that I missed it. Maybe next year. Jaydon didn't like the snow much that day. He is a bit of a little girl when it comes to anything being on his hands. So I guess the cold snow just rubbed him the wrong way. We always enjoy spending time with the rest of the family. CHRISTMAS

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I know we did! We have had a tough year with getting married, having a baby, and getting Trev through school. Trev is on break right now and loving it! We have been spending lots of time with family which is always nice. We got spoiled this Christmas! I got a ton of scrap booking things from Auntie Karen. I hope to soon get started on scrapbooks the kids first year. Trev and Jaydon got a ton of clothes and shoes which was needed. As always, Jaydon got a ton of toys which he is enjoying. We also got lots of gift cards so we can have some family time out of the house and maybe Trev and I can get a date night or two in :) We are grateful that our family and friends are all so helpful and generous we appreciate it more than words can say. JAYDONS SURGERY

For the lat year, Jaydon has had a crazy amount of ear infections. Finally, they sent us to the ears nose and throat doctor. They said he has a lot of fluid in his ears and would need to have tubes put in. Sounds like it is a common procedure but still had me worried sick that something would go wrong! The night before, I got Jaydon into bed early knowing we had a long day ahead of us. Which was a good thing because he ended up getting sick that night! It was awful. I felt so bad for him. Not only did he have the flu but was going to have to have surgery! I took him in anyway and they went ahead and did the surgery. He had his surgery on December 10th at 7:15. He did a great job! Was crazy to see him so limp and disoriented when waking up. He had no clue what was going on or where he was. After the surgery they let me hold him so he could wake up in my arms. I have never heard him snore so loud! Things went great and he is doing much better! No more complaints about his ears. At least that's one thing off his list to whine about :)

WES AND AMANDAS WEDDING

WE WENT TO OUR GREAT FRIENDS CHRIS AND TRACY FOR HALLOWEEN. THIS BEING THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW.WE HOPE TO MAKE THIS SOME WHAT OF A TRADITION. WE GIVE OUT CANDY AND ENJOY SEEING THE KIDS IN THEIR COSTUMES.TYLAR PICKED OUT JAYSDONS COSTUME THIS YEAR WHICH WAS A SPIDER. TRACY WORKED SUPER HARD ON KAYLANIS. SHE WAS A BUNNY:) JAYDON IS STARTING TO GET THE CONCEPT OF HALLOWEEN BUT STILL HAS A WAY TO GO. HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND WHY HE CANT GO TO THE HOUSES WITH THE LIGHTS OFF ALSO! HA HA.

MANDIS WEDDING

MANDI GOT MARRIED ON SATURDAY! I WAS HONORED TO BE PART OF THE BRIDAL PARTY. THINGS WENT GREAT AND SHE WAS A BEAUTIFUL BRIDE. TREV AND I HAD FUN GETTING OUT OF THE HOUSE. THANK GOODNESS SHE GOT MARRIED SO WE COULD GET OUT OF THE HOUSE :) MY AWESOME SISTER WATCHED THE KIDS... OVERNIGHT! ISNT SHE A BRAVE ONE! THOUGHT I WOULD PUT UP A FEW PICS OF TREVOR AND I AT THE RECEPTION.

FALL FUN

WE RECENTLY WENT TO THE PUMPKIN PATCH. JAYDON HAD A BLAST! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN WATCHING HIM FIND HIS WAY THROUGH THE STRAW MAZE, FIND HIS VERY OWN PUMPKIN THAT IN HIS LITTLE MIND WAS PERFECT AND JUST HAVE A BALL WITH THE FAMILY! GETTING TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR A LITTLE FALL FUN AND SEEING JAYDON HAVE SUCH A GREAT TIME MAKES THE "TERRIBLE TWOS" NOT SO TERRIBLE!
